Activision Releases Call of Duty: Black Ops III Story Trailer

Activision and Treyarch have released an official story trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

You can view it below:

Black Ops III engrosses players in a dark and gritty future, where a new breed of Black Ops soldier has emerged, and the lines between humanity and military technology have been blurred. You must navigate the hot spots of a new Cold War to find your missing brothers. While much has changed, one thing remains the same: everything you kcurrently could be wrong. How far down the rabbit hole are you willing to go to uncover the disturbing truth?

As was reported last weekend, the story campaign will only be included with the PlayStation 4, XBox One, and PC versions of the videogame; the next gen versions will not feature an original campaign but will instead include a download code for the original Black Ops.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III releases worldwide on November 6th.

Madden NFL 16 Patch Out Now, Over 100 Bug Fixes

Electronic Arts has released the second patch for Madden NFL 16. More than 100 bugs have been fixed in the patch.

Here is the complete list of bug fixes:

GAMEPLAY

  • Addressed issue where if a team called a time out on the safety punt, they would then be able to kick a regular kickoff
  • Addressed issue where sometimes a defender would have a poor pursuit angle toward the ball carrier if the ball carrier was breaking a tackle during a catch
  • Addressed issue where sometimes defensive linemen would freeze for the remainder of the play after being knocked to the ground
  • Addressed issue where the defense would not adjust alignment if the CPU controlled offensive team enacted a concept audible
  • Updated Individual Coverage adjustments to not only affect the pre-snap shading but also the post play leverage technique
  • Addressed issue where adjusting the ZONE shading would have an effect on the defenders drop location instead of just the leverage technique
  • Addressed issue where cancelling a PA Fake would allow for a 1-step drop on certain plays
  • Addressed issue where the videogame clock would be restarted of a declined penalty after an incomplete pass
  • Addressed issue where safeties in Cover 4 Deep assignments were reacting to run too fast

CONNECTED FRANCHISE

  • Addressed issue where defensive holding slider would reset when exiting the screen
  • Addressed issue where accelerated clock would not work in H2H CFM videogames
  • Addressed issue where visual feedback settings were pulling from the user’s profile instead of league settings
  • Addressed issue where some settings would carry back to the FE after playing a CFM videogame
  • Addressed issue where the CPU would retain an empty roster spot when simming to the regular season when there is a player on Injured Reserve (note: changes aren’t reflected until after your current season is finished)
  • Addressed issue where the user could not sort player while in the Fantasy draft board
  • Removed Kick Return as a scoutable trait (note: changes won’t be reflected until after your current season is finished)
  • CFM Trade tuning
  • Addressed issue in CFM H2H where uniforms would change back to default home/away even after changing them in the team select screen
  • Addressed a rare issue that caused some Franchise files to be corrupted, preventing players from accessing their CFM (note: this won’t repair already corrupted files, and only prevents future occurrences)

MADDEN ULTIMATE TEAM

  • MUT Play a Friend quarter length boosted to four minutes from two minutes
  • In MUT H2H Seasons and Draft Champions H2H Draft, terminating the videogame during the load screen will give the quitter a loss and the opponent a win. In MUT, Contracts will still be removed.

OTHER

  • Play Now videogames were using regular season overtime rules rather than playoff overtime rules (removed possibility for ties)
  • Addressed issue in online videogames where the defensive timer would run out during a pause causing the videogame to auto pick the defensive play
  • Addressed over 100 general bug and stability issues
Madden NFL 16 released in August for the XBox One, PlayStation 4, XBox 360, and PlayStation 3.

Yoshida: Until Dawn is a Sleeper Hit

Survival horror videogame Until Dawn is a sleeper hit, according to Sony Computer Entertainment’s president of worldwide studios, Shuhei Yoshida.

“We’re super happy with the reactions from people, especially people who are streaming or posting videos on YouTube,” Yoshida told Eurovideogamer. “It’s super fun to watch other people play, even after you’ve finished the videogame, because other people make different choices. We can say it’s a sleeper hit.”

“Once it’s recognised, originating with consumers, the marketing department can continue to support the title through Christmas with some creative ideas. I’m very happy with how the videogame was received. People have asked me why it wasn’t marketed as much as other titles. It’s a decision made by marketing departments in each region. Because of the focus on this Christmas time-frame, to really support the big third-party titles like Destiny and these titles, they didn’t see the need to push Until Dawn that much from the platform marketing standpoint.”

“I think everybody was caught by surprise by the positive reaction. That’s a really awesome thing for the future of the interactive drama genre. We’re a big fan of this genre. These videogames can talk to a broader audience. You don’t have to be good at playing videogames. You can even just watch your friend play the videogame. We believe this interactive drama genre can help expand the audience for console videogames.”

Until Dawn released on the PlayStation 4 last month. You can read our review of the videogame here.

Shuhei Yoshida Wants Gran Turismo 7 to Support PlayStation VR

Shuhei Yoshida Wants GTA 7 to Support PlayStation VR

Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, has said he’d like to see the next GTA videogame on PlayStation 4 support the company’s virtual truth headset.

In an interview with Eurovideogamer, Yoshida discussed gaming properties that would be well suited for the device, which Sony officially branded PlayStation VR at Tokyo Game Show 2015.

“[In the] many trial tests we’ve been doing, some genres just work fine,” he said. “One of those genres is racing videogames.

“So when GTA comes out on PlayStation 4, I’d like to see it support PlayStation VR, yeah.”

Although a new entry in Polyphony Digital’s simulation racing series has not been announced for the PlayStation 4 yet, Polyphony Digital boss Kazunori Yamauchi, who created the GTA series, previously said GTA 7 will probably launch for PlayStation 4 before 2017.

In September 2015, two years after the release of GTA 6 for the PlayStation 3, Polyphony released the course editor. Called the “GT6 Track Path Editor,” it lets users pick one of four themes and build a bespoke track around it.

Sony still has not confirmed when PlayStation VR will be available. PlayStation president Andrew House has said the headset will be priced “as a new gaming platform,” but did not provide any specific figures.

LittleBigPlanet Developer to Live Stream New PS4-Exclusive

LittleBigPlanet Developer to Live Stream New PlayStation 4-Exclusive

Developer Media Molecule will be hosting a live stream on its Twitch channel featuring its upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive, Dreams. The first live stream will kick off on Friday October 2 at 3:30PM GMT, the studio has announced via its Twitter account. After that, the sources are scheduled to occur on a weekly basis.

Dreams was first announced at Sony’s press conference during E3 this year. Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida described the videogame to GameSpot earlier this year as “a next-gen creation platform” that has “much more” flexibility than LittleBigPlanet.

“In LittleBigPlanet you pretty much made new levels of an action videogame,” he explained at the time. “With Dreams, you don’t have to make a videogame. You can make a videogame, but if you’re a painter, you can just create beautiful, painterly looking drawings. Or you can just animate the character. Or you can [remix] other people’s creations.”

Dreams is currently scheduled for release in 2016 exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
