Developer to resume console work after PC version exits Early Access.

In an update on the videogame’s website, the developer explains that it had initially hoped to ship the videogame on all three platforms this summer. News: Battlefield 1 beta now open to all players

Grab it on XBox One, PlayStation 4 and PC currently.

To grab it, just head to Origin, the XBox Store or PlayStation Store. The beta weighs in at 6.1GB on console, although at the time of writing Origin didn’t seem to want to tell me how big it comes in at on PC.<br /><br />The beta includes access to two multiplayer videogame modes – Conquest and Rush – plus the videogame’s ‘Sinai Desert’ map. The six miniature cars, themed after Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Toad, Peach and Bowser, are racing into North American stores currently, although we don’t yet kcurrently if there’s also plans to roll them out in the UK. News: PS4 Slim supports faster wi-fi than current console

5GHz wifi band supported, along with existing 2.4GHz protocol.

Twitter user @shortmaneighty2 uploaded a picture of the console’s manual over the weekend, confirming that the PlayStation 4 Slim includes support for both 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless bands. The current console only features support for 2.4GHz.<br /><br />Support for 5GHz should provide faster download and upload speeds to those who have the appropriate network hardware and bandwidth, although it isn’t clear from the manual if it will be limited to the older ‘N’ wi-fi protocol or newer ‘AC’ band.<br /><br />PlayStation 4 Slim has yet to be officially announced by Sony despite cropping…

As reported by GFK Chart-Track, Human Revolution "had a much stronger week 1" than Mankind Divided, "but launched in to a market with close to double the current installed base of the equivalent consoles (PS3/360 vs PlayStation 4/XBox One)". News: Battlefield 1 beta keys are being sent out to Battlefield Insiders

Play on 4 different days and reach rank 15 to unlock bonus dog tag.

The key grants immediate access to the beta 24 hours ahead of its open launch tomorrow, and should be available to anyone who signed up to the Battlefield Insider program before August 21.<br /><br />The open beta includes two videogame modes – Conquest and Rush – and the Middle Eastern ‘Sinai Desert’ multiplayer map.
