Speaking to Bandai Namco community manager Dalton Link at E3, Level-5 CEO Hino Akihiro confirmed that Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will have online multiplayer. (via Gematsu).
Ni No Kuni 2 will also see the protagonist travel to five different kingdoms throughout the videogame, each of which have problems that must be solved by the player. And while Akihiro didn’t confirm the return of any specific characters from the first videogame, he did say that there will be some familiar faces in Revenant Kingdom.
He added that playing the original videogame will enhance your experience via easter eggs that give a nod and a wink to Oliver’s story, but it’s not imperative to play Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch first.
