Creative Assembly and SEGA have pulled the wraps off the next chapter in the popular Total War franchise, which is hitting PC later this year. The historically-flavored Total War: Three Kingdoms will take videogamers back in time some 2,000 years to China, circa 190 CE. 

Key videogameplay informations on the upcoming strategy romp have yet to be confirmed, although we do kcurrently that China is in a pretty piss-poor state during the videogame’s events, with the Han Dynasty all but crumbling into ruins. Apparently, a nefarious chap kcurrentlyn as Dong Zhou is behind the oppression, although hope remains in the shape of three heroes.

Facing tyranny, the trio rally support from some of China’s biggest families, who form a ragtag group of ancient freedom fighters to topple Dong Zhou’s evil reign. ‘The crucible fizzes. Allegiances shift. The fires of conflict stoke opportunity. Only one thing is certain: the very future of China will be shaped by its champions,’ the press blurb reads.
